This class is for the new driver, car owners going off to college, or someone who just wants to know what noises to take care of immediately and which ones are not emergencies.
Here is a preview of some of the topics Kerri will cover:
- The #1 mistake you should never make.
- Just because it's all you can afford doesn't mean you can't afford to maintain it (Teens and Early 20 year olds will drive their car until it is on fire because it's all they can afford).
- Check points on how to buy a great used car so you don't spend limited money on a lemon.
- Tips for a comfortable ride.
- What about those windshield covers?
- Horror Stories (like the oil cap that wasn't replaced by the service center-discovered on a cross country family trip).
- Is the repair shop scamming me? (Shops like to sell marked up useless services that they promote as a lifesaving hack).

Grow Your Own Organic Garden
with To Be Announced
There is a fee for this course. We accept cash, checks, and debit/credit card. When filling out the check please make it out to RSU 3 Adult & Community Education. If you want to pay by card please give us a call and we can help process the transaction through our PayPal system.
The Grow Your Own Organic Garden class is designed for adults but would be appropriate for teens and middle-grade kids, as well. Additionally, the class is geared toward beginner gardeners or individuals who have been gardening for a long time but want to learn more about how to garden sustainably. Participants will learn the basics of organic gardening -- such as supporting soil and plant health, starting seeds indoors and outdoors, interplanting, pest management, watering, and harvesting. Students will have plenty of time to ask questions and connect about shared experiences in their gardening journeys so far. By the end of this class, participants should feel equipped with knowledge -- and connected to resources and community members -- that will help them grow an organic garden, and feel satisfied with the process of doing so. This class will be taught by a garden educator with years of experience who is local to our area. We have many educators who have taught this class in years past and are thrilled to have the opportunity to do it again in 2025! MOFGA provides GYOOG educators with a PowerPoint and other materials to work with, as well as resources for further learning to provide students. Students will also go home with some seeds to start in their gardens.
